Kodiak

 

 This handsome 2002 gelding stands 17.0hh. Kodiak is easy to sit on with lovely soft rhythmic gaits.  He is very straight forward to ride and is an Adult Amateur or Junior’s dream horse.  He is quietly forward and very soft in the bridle. Best of all he is personality plus! He is calm, quiet and loves attention.  One look at his big soft eye and he melts hearts.

Kodiak is solid second level and schooling some Third level with beautiful lateral work including shoulder-in, traverse, renverse, and trot half pass.  Kodiak also has quiet single changes.

Everyone who has ridden this horse has just loved him from timid Adult Amateurs to Juniors and Professionals. He always receives positive comments from Clinicians and Judges.  Kodiak is also quiet and steady enough to have been ridden by a Junior Para equestrian rider.

2008 Scores at USDF Shows with a Junior rider:

q      71% at First Level

q      73% at Training Level

q      65.8% at Second Level

 

Training and First Level Champion at Dressage at Waterloo both in June and July

First and Second Level Champion at Dressage by the Bay with a junior rider end of July/Beg. August. 

Has received 9's on his leg yields and consistently scores 8's on his counter canter.

 

Qualified for regionals at Training, First and Second Level with a Junior Rider.

 

 Lifetime registered with USDF and American Warmblood Society Registration Papers.

Kodiak also trail rides quietly alone or with other horses and has been jumped both stadium and cross country to the Beg. Novice Level.  He quietly does banks, drops and water.  He is easy to load, trailer, clip, bath and stands quietly for the farrier and vet.
