2022 Updates

Worming
- We deworm based on AAEP Guidelines.
Barn manager handles fecal testing and worming you will see the cost of wormer on your Jan and August bills.

The required worming schedule is as follows:
August-
Strongid/safegaurd/panacur
January- Equimax

Fecal Testing - Shows eggs per gram
This is done in March and Sept.  Each horse receives a customized report.

If horses test positive on EPG fecal test - owners will be billed for additional wormer to treat.

Vaccines -  Dr Cadena will vaccinate spring and fall- these vaccines are required.  We will hold horses and bring them in so no need to be present.

Spring split into 3 days

Pot/Rabies
Strangles

Fall Boosters

Sand
We currently follow all management practices for reducing intake of sand - feeding hay in stalls rather than run outs, providing hay mangers/feeders for outside hay and do rotational grazing to ensure the grass is not eaten down.
