Katie (O'Brien) Bledsoe
Katie has ridden with Ruth since 2013 and moved into the Assistant Trainer position at Stapleton Farm in September of 2015. Katie enjoys both Teaching and Training- She has a strong foundation in Classical Dressage but also spends time on ground work producing well rounded horses that are happy to do their job. She is a particularly good teacher for nervous riders and does an excellent job instilling confidence in them with her kind and positive teaching style. Junior riders also really enjoy Katies gift of explaining dressage concepts to younger riders. Katie often coaches at the local dressage shows teaching both horses and riders how to produce calm, effective tests.
As a Junior rider in 2016 She was Training Level Champion for USDF Region 2 on board a very tricky horse - Scirocco. She then continued her education obtaining her bronze medal and showing through Fourth Level on horses she developed herself. She recently started a family and is enjoying being back in the saddle and continuing to pursue her USDF Silver medal. Her positive attitude and desire to always bring out the best in people and horses makes her an invaluable asset to the Stapleton Farm Team.
Katie also teaches locally and is also available for Lessons, Training, Coaching and Clinics off farm. Reach out to her here.
